Notorious

I am not a fan of Hip Hop movies, but I am a fan of Hip Hop music. I didn't like Eminem's movie nor 50's. I just watched them because I am a true fan of the culture. I just love it and I live it, especially the aspect of owning your own businesses, being assertive and uniquely creative, and wanting to change the world.

But on the 28th of February 2009, I saw one of the greatest movies I've ever seen. Not because of Hollywood special effects and a cast of Superstars, but because of the storyline and the way the story was told. And it so happens that it was a Hip Hop movie. I even forgot about that context. Notorious, a story about one of the Top 3 greatest Hip Hop artists of all time, is a good and beautiful movie. The characters are real and balanced, and the fact that they used actors that are not well-known helped in enabling the audience to focus on the story, and not being distracted by the beauty of say, Halle Berry.

The other thing that I don't like doing is watching a movie again, but I can't wait for the Blu-ray Disc, so that I can include it in my movie collection. And I'm not even going to download this one, I have to own an original copy, and I will.
