Money Mondays

Patience, bloody patience

One of the most important characteristics that you need as an entrepreneur is patience. The patience needed to dream up an idea, write it out in a business plan and then to convince others to give you money to realise that dream. And that's not the end of it, once you have got the money, implemented the plan, then you need even more patience to get customers. I think this is the most challenging bit and where most entrepreneurs give up, getting the customers. This does not happen overnight. If you look at all the great businesses out there they were not built overnight. Coca-Cola took over 100 years to get to where it is. Microsoft took over 20 years, and you can name others as well. But our current generation seems to want things to happen overnight, some psychologists call it 'instant gratification', but I must say that it is a powerful factor.
