The directional data rule

Anything that we do in life can never be 100% right or predicted. And so it is in business as well. The information that we use to make decisions is not perfect. As long as we get to the point where the information is 80% - we must pull the trigger. The wrong thought of trying to get to 100% comes from the education system which rewards those that get 100% in exams. And so when we are faced with real-life problems we become paralysed if we can't get to 100% or rather we don't act until we get 100%, we're not too comfortable with making decisions based on anything less than 100%. And yet we must or we'll never act and make progress.
