Land is the safest store of wealth.
God is not making any more of this stuff, which means it's becoming more scarce.

Inflation eats away at cash stored in the bank.
Gold prices also rise and fall depending on financial market sentiments.
Stock prices are very volatile and companies do go bust by the way.
Bond prices are also volatile and depend too much on interest rates which are fickle.

Give me land any day.
